Hearing Aid coverage
Most insurance companies will cover the cost of the hearing test. Some insurance companies are beginning to cover some costs related to hearing aids. If you are not sure, you may call your insurance company or we would be happy to assist you. Please bring all insurance cards to your appointment to help in determining any covered benefits.
Medicaid will cover the cost of hearing aids for children and adults up to the age of 20. Medicare does not provide any hearing aid benefits, but will cover the cost of the hearing test.
The following insurance companies are more commonly known to provide limited hearing aid benefits:
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield
- Federal BC/BS
- United Healthcare
- Aetna (some plans)
- Cigna (some plans)
